Materialisation Flip-Flop

In an emergency (and if the localized default setting has been enabled) the operator can activate a Materialization Flip-Flop, with the push of two buttons. This initiates an immediate Microjump. Because this setting has its own logic loop it bypasses most of the guidance systems, resulting in a random materialization that could be up to several hundred miles from the previous location.

Alternately, by limiting the Flip-Flop to a shift through time only, this procedure can allow a TARDIS to materialize inside a craft that was on a collision course for the TARDIS. This requires a fair amount of skill from the operator as timing is critical. Materialization Flip-Flops tend to cause damage to a TARDIS that takes some time to repair and for this reason should only be used in an emergency.
